two weeks in, we’re still buzzing from the excitement and joy of the leap (af)fair mumbai. sprawled across the fabulous jio world drive, we had the pleasure of hosting 900+ women – our members and their friends for this sunshine, laughter and community-filled day. tell us a better way to spend a sunday; we’ll wait ☀️
in case you missed it, here’s the lowdown on what went down:
the dialogue: insight-packed discourse with the community
we hosted a panel discussion with our friends from the good glamm group - naiyya saggi, co-founder of the good glamm group, malini agarwal, founder & creative director of missmalini entertainment, and disha sanghvi, director of the good glamm group. from building successful teams to perceptions of women-specific skill sets, these women brought remarkable insights from their journeys in building and scaling their careers. with candid and articulate answers, members were captivated by their lives & journeys.
speaking about women supporting other women in the workplace, malini ended on this heartfelt note: “you don’t have to dim someone else’s light to let your own shine” ✨
we then had one of our favourite writer-comedian extraordinaire, radhika vaz come in with her signature session, “let’s get real”. in her classic, comedic style, radhika elicited opinions from the audience and sparked discussions around work-life balance, leadership qualities that women possess, and imposter syndrome.
speed networking in signature leap.club style!
a true testament to the incredible power of connections, our speed networking sessions took the leap (af)fair by storm. five rounds, each packed with a sold-out crowd of around 100 women, saw strangers become friends through prompted conversations. the energy was electric as attendees embraced the opportunity to forge new relationships and uncover commonalities.
and guess what? amidst the mingling, we stumbled upon not one but two sets of twins! we also loved seeing members come with their mothers, sisters, bosses, and our fav: friends they made at leap.club.
the member-led flea market
always our personal favourite - we had stalls from member-led brands: cosmix by vibha, sexual wellness products from manzuri by aastha, activewear from seeq by sanjana, teas from tea trunk by snigdha, makeup & skincare from fae beauty by karishma. we were heartened to see members browse & shop, free from stigma and in support of women-led businesses – the stalls attracted quite the crowd right through the day!
there were also experience zones dotted around the venue: darts, jenga and ‘never have i ever’ games, a fluid art station with articurate, and a record listening zone with drocer records – all creating memorable experiences and enabling relationships to be built over some fun!
ending on high spirits; food, drink, tunes and more!
no leap (af)fair would be complete without indulging in some fabulous grub and drinks. sliders from the daily, signature sandwiches from del’z kitchen, tacos from cafe duco, hoppers from hoppumm and ice creams from noto, all paired with drinks on the house by bira, stranger & sons, short stories and svami.
all this with the backdrop of groovy, electronic covers of crowd-favourite songs by our favourite band chizai from delhi! the perfect sundowner end to a day filled with laughter, connection and celebration.
we’ll be back with the next leap (af)fair in delhi soon. until then, let’s keep embracing the magic of networking and celebrating the incredible connections that shape us 🧡
